About

Hey there! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog - please stick around and visit again soon!

A little bit about me? Well, writing is my passion; I have loved creating stories for as long as I can remember. I also adore reading - adventure books, some fantasy, and a bit of steampunk. Oh, and I'm kind of a Narnia and Lord of the Rings nerd... though my all-time favorite book has to be A Tale of Two Cities. My most recent love has been musical theater, and I adore listening to Broadway musicals and singing along (or at least trying to!). And my latest obsession, which I am guilty over fangirling about, is Once Upon A Time

When I'm not at work, I generally divide my time between singing, ministry, reading, doodling, writing letters, snuggling with my puppy, attempting to have deep conversations, and talking to my incredible boyfriend, J.

Most importantly though, I am a Christian who loves her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Without Him, I am nothing! He saved me from my sin, called me out of darkness, and brought me "into His marvelous light" (1 Peter 2:9, NKJV). I desire to serve Him in everything I do and to love Him more and more each day.

A little bit about the blog...

"Klarabelle Candy's" first post was published in August 2011 (and in June 2012, the blog received a fantastic makeover). From 2011-now, this blog (and its followers) has been with me through the ups and downs of life. My posts were mainly made up of miscellaneous journalings and not-so-collected thoughts.

In summer of 2014 I took a bit of a break from blogging, but early this year (2015) I realized that I needed to come back. My blog design has changed, and my purpose of the blog has changed a bit too. I have a fairly clear direction of where I would like this blog to go (Lordwilling). I want to be purposeful about my posts, and I also want to be genuine. My attempt is to honestly share with you a part of my life as a broken sinner who has been saved by the precious blood of Christ alone. I desire to live for Him. I will fail, I will make mistakes, I will mess up big-time. But there is healing, there is redemption, there is hope. One of my favorite hymns is the joyful song, He Keeps Me Singing. One of the verses says,
All my life was wrecked by sin and strife
Discord filled my heart with pain
Jesus swept across the broken strings
Stirred the slumbering chords again.
This is a blog of broken strings and slumbering chords, but strings that are being repaired and chords that are being awoken to sing again. This is a blog of an almost-twenty-something's reflections on life, God, and falling in love. I'm inviting you to come along on the journey.
