Be Joyful!!!!!!!!!

Hey all!

How are you?  Thanks for the e-mails / comments / FaceBook notes / whatevers that you've sent me!  :)  You rock!

Well, ever since the heart attack I've been TRYING to be more thankful and joyful and all that...  You've probably heard that "joyful" and "happy" are not the same thing.  Happiness is a feeling that comes and goes depending on your emotions and what happens in your life.  BUT, you can be joyful even when bad things are happening, because of the promise God has made never to leave or forsake His children!  That's awesome!

But with the whole, "I'm TRYING to be thankful and joyful and all that" challenge...  Well, I survived a couple days (or was it a couple hours?)...  but today wasn't so great.  My arm was sore from physiotherapy and my ICD (my implant thingy...  which, btw, I haven't figured out a name for.  Any ideas?) was mad at me - i.e. the muscles around it were also upset from the physiotherapy - and then I had to work on school.  I'm going to take this moment to say I do love being home schooled, but I have a bunch of stuff I need to read before Wednesday.  So, "Pressure's on, Kara!"  Anyway, I ended up hiding in the basement with my music and my biology book so I wouldn't make anyone else (including myself?) more made.  But anyway, someone's coming downstairs to check on me, so I better look busy.

Okay, it was a happy person who came down!  So I guess I'll continue blogging.  I need some help with school but the speakerphone didn't work and I'm too lazy to go upstairs and ask.  So I'll do it later.  Speaking of which, the power went out today!  It came back on for about 10-15 minutes, then went off again!  Mom had just started a load of laundry and then everything stopped working...  But a little while later, something clicked and the wash started moving too!  The house was super quiet when everything was "off" - no boiling water, washing machines or music... it was kind of relaxing, but also a little boring!  I only had 73% of my computer battery left...  but,, now everything is fine!

So, this is kind of a random post, and I used the word "so" about five times, just on an estimate.  SO, I better stop.  ;)  But I guess I'm challenging you to join me on the No Complaining - Be Joyful dealio.  I think humans are crazy because Jesus went through SO (oops) much for us...  and then something happens like, a pencil breaks, a brick falls on our toe (okay, I hope not) or the store is out of our favourite candy and we freak out!!!  But we have SO (ack, I did it again!) much to be thankful and joyful for.  So (I'm seriously not doing this on purpose!  Most of the time...) if you wanna hold me accountable for this, you can.  :)

So...goodbye for now!
