The Elegant *trips over high heels* Blog Award!

Awwww! The wonderful and elegant Madeline awarded me the "Elegant Blogger Award"!!! :) Thanks girlie!!!

Here are the rules. I don't know how to link back to a blog post, though, so I guess I am gonna be an (ignorant) rebel here... :p Sorry!!!

  • When you receive the award, link back to keepcalmandsparkle1099.blogspot.com and the blog that nominated you
  • Display the award button in the post
  • Answer all of the 12 questions given in this post (Do not make your own questions)
  • Nominate 12 bloggers
  • Notify them that they have been awarded

1.  What made you decide to start blogging?

I wrote blog posts (or random articles) in my head all the time (and occasionally posted them as "Notes" on FaceBook). Also, Talia at Girlz of God really inspired me as a blogger, and my other friend Sarah kept begging me to update a blog I never write on. So I thought I would start blogging! :)

2.  What is your fashion style?
Thrift store! :D (But seriously, I like t-shirts with cool words or designs, and I like to wear jeans or shorts with cute tennis shoes and unmatching but colorful socks or flats. Occasionally high heels because I am short {though it is TOP SECRET how short - I mean tall - I really am...}

3.  What is something none of your followers know about you?
I am currently wearing my hair up in a giant clippy because I was sweaty. Now you know. But does this fact still count?

4.  What are some of your blogging goals?
To glorify God, to inspire my readers, to make them smile, to make them think about important things.... Ok, I sound very control-freakish now!!!

5.  Where is your favorite place to shop?
Thrift stores and Claire's!

6.  What would your ideal amount of blog followers be?
Um... maybe 50? The numbers don't really mean a ton to me if people don't actually read what I write. I confess I value comments more than blogger numbers... is that a terrible thing for me to admit? Does anyone else think this way? :S

7.  What are your talents?
Well... *blushes* Shouldn't someone else mention my talents? I feel kinda funny announcing them to you all. What if I think they are talents but in fact I'm not any good at them? (Ok, now I sound like I have self-image issues). Well, I enjoy singing, playing guitar, and playing piano.

8.  Are you a leader or a follower?
If I feel like a situation is not being adequately handled, I try to take over. I have also been accused of acting like people's moms (I'm guessing that's a compliment? :S). I will follow someone who I trust, but I will be reluctant to follow someone does not seem in control, seems unconnected, or seems uninterested.

9.  What is one of your favorite quotes?
One? Just one!? *sniffle* Um, okay... "To love another person is to see the face of God!" - Les Miserables, the musical

10.  Do you have a favorite book or book series?
Favorite book series - The Chronicles of Narnia
Favorite book - A Tale of Two Cities

11.  Out of all of the synonyms for elegant, which would you describe yourself with (smart - stylish - dressy - graceful - dainty - fine)?
Um... I'm not sure if any of those fit me. *sigh* Maybe dressy, since I like to dress up? But my fave outfits are random t-shirts, so maybe not. Argh.

12.  What is your favorite flower?
Daffodils

Can I also be rebellious and refuse to tag a bunch of people??? Cuz I don't really have 45 minutes to tag people ;) Anyone who comments can have the epic award, though!!! All my readers are quite elegant, so I feel certain this blog will go to the right elegant ladies. :)

    2. Yep. Right now we are reading through Ezekiel. Today I just read about "Dry Bones" in Ezekiel 37. It's a very interesting book.

I like all your answers! I agree! Thrift stores are the best way to go! Although I hardly ever get to shop for clothing since I do not have a job that brings in cash flow! Ha ha!:)
